Hey guys so Who is planning on getting one when it comes out?

Maybe, still thinking if I should trade my 360 for a XL, never even freaking use the system ^^;.

I might buy a 3DS XL for one of my little cousins.

I have a 3DS now, but i would like to Upgrade to a XL, But i heard the Resolution is the same and the text might look blurry and jaggy. So i want to test one in person.

Good idea, I also have a 3DS but I think those are lies, but its better to find out in person.

Yeah because i read so many reviews and all of them said the biggest issue with the XL is the Resolution. there were a few that didn't mention it, but the majority said with the resolution being the same, the games would look bad.. so i really want to test one maybe like in best buy next month or so.

I don't have a handheld now, so I'm open to either, but if there's no important XL benefits, then I'm just getting the 3DS.

i already have the normal 3DS, no need to waste my money on a bigger screen

I don't have a 3ds, and I'm thinking about getting the normal one when the XL comes out and the normal one gets a price drop....

I am going to get myn in blue cause i think we only have red and blue in america

I wish I could just get it in solid black, but I suppose I'll get it in silver. I'm gonna need it for Project X Zone and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

Well, what do you want from the 3DS? can you give more information as to why you don't know which one to chose?

I haven't researched yet. I've wanted a 3DS since before it was released. My dream was to get the 3DS to play Pokemon Black. I was interested in Pokemon Black before its Japan release. My mom encouraged me to get the 3DS, since I'm getting rewards for making it to college expenses paid! I would like to get the system before school starts because there are so many other things I could do in college, and I don't expect video games to top the list.

Well, I use a regular 3DS before and I like it, though the batteries is smaller than the XL. It's not very comfortable to play for a long time, especially like mario kart 7. For me I'm going to buy the XL since the left trigger of my original is broken.

You mention Mario Kart 7, which is a game that I will buy when I get the system. What do you mean? Are you using the motion features or is it uncomfortable regardless of which control scheme is used?

It's uncomfortable either scheme because of how square the system is around your palm of your hand. Putting a lot of pressure into for me since your going to hold A for a long time.

Thanks for the warning. Both systems play the same games. The XL has a marginally better battery life. The screens are almost double area. I guess I'll wait and get the 3DS XL. What ever will I do while I wait?

No clue really, I'm in the same boat as you do since I can't play kingdom hearts and I don't want to hurt my palm using the 3DS. This sucks because I have the game but I just can't play it.

I'm not going to get an xl 'cause I need money for the wii u, but I still wish luck to you guys that the xl might upgrade from 320x240 to 430x320 or
another resolution like that.

I think ill be getting the 3ds xl sometime next year in 2013. right now i all i willing to buy is Wii U thats the only thing i willing to waste money on

I won't buy a 3DSXL mainly because the screen resolution is the same of my standard 3DS, and the same resolution on a bigger screen means a little loss of detail. It was like that also for the passage from the DS to the DSIXL.

I haven't really played either, but a friend here told me that the 3DS can get quite uncomfortable, especially when you have to hold buttons like Mario Kart's A. The battery life improvement seems insignificant. I'm playing the games for gameplay, not graphics, so I think I'll be fine. The only thing graphically that could bother me is pixels. I don't like it when pixels stand out while I'm playing a game or watching videos.

I got my 3DS XL, Pokemon Black, Mario Kart 7, and Ocarina of Time 3D today!!! I can't wait to play my first ever Zelda game!!!

I plan on getting one, but it'll be after I get my Wii U

I want to get a 3DSxl, but I don't really need one since I have my 3DS.

That 3DSXL+MK7 bundle is perfect for me because it looks sporty, it's big, the 3D effect is better (some people say that), it's more comfortable than the old one and it's a nice deal because I want to play MK7 (cheaper).

If I can't buy one then I will get a that 3DS+SM3DL bundle, I don't like that game but it's something (nice graphics+best price).

Get the MK7 bundle SM3dL doesnt provide much gameplay after your beat. MK7 with online play will last you for months

You know what? I made my decision, I'm going to buy that 3DSXL+MK7 bundle.

I discovered that at least in my country, a normal 3DS+MK7 is more expensive than the 3DSXL+MK7 bundle, that's BS.

Are you serious? That's some BS but you'll enjoy MK7!!!

I'll get one next time I'm off to mexico as its a ten hour flight from here

If I ever get a 3DS it will be an XL
