Hi all... My name is Gregory Brown and I am gaming fanatic. I have been gaming nearly all my life, in fact it is the thing that drove me in to programming for a living. I have had the opportunity to work on many different projects. The reality is my real goal in life to was to write and create video games. That was side tracked a little... I am gamer none the less, to the end. I am more than interested in games themselves; however, I am interested in the technologies that the game systems are built on, as well. Due to the horsepower and innovations needed to drive many of today's games, advancements in computing and software are made. Whether people are gamers or not, the next multi core laptop, desktop or gaming system will be the product of pushing the line of real and fantasy. I just can't wait until we get to the point where interaction gets down to a hologram level. We may be far off from that; however, I feel the advancements in the gaming world will push our overall technological advancement. I think we will all be ready for advancement because superior games systems will be our trainers. Trainers that have the potential to teach and provide a momentary escape from reality.

Welcome gbrown12! I hope your long, detailed post did not deter other members. I like your depth of thought.
I'm a computer science major, and I have some experience writing trivial applications in Python, Java, C, and C++.
You like game development and programming. Do you have much C++ experience or are you doing some other type of game programming? C++ is a very popular video game engine development language. Although, I recognize you could be doing Flash games or Apple apps programmed in Objective C.
Anyways, if you have questions regarding the forums feel free to ask me.

Madara to answer your question, my background is Computer and Electrical Engineering and I have developed in C, C++, Java, VB, includes the .Net. I have also got involved in the mobile generation with IOS / Apple (Objective C). I have not done anything in Flash. Thanks for the welcome. Actually, thank you all. Let the games begin! Can't wait for the release so that we can kick off the next generation of games.
