    Oldtime gamer

Hey all. Started playing games back when I was a kid during the atari 2600 days and then gradually upgraded to a Super NES. Currently a 360 player but I'll be switching over to the Wii U primarily because I hate that they want to make the 720 into the next cable box. I'm in it for the games not the services. Definitely can't wait to get my hands on Zombi U. I hope Nintendo plans to bring more adult games to the Wii U!

It's all about large corporations finding every possible medium in which to sell something to you... it started out with Billboards, newspaper ads, Commercials, and now even YouTube. Although I'm actually for the 720 supporting as much services it can let on, but it does seems like they are focusing less on games and more on selling something to you... which is why I'm curious about other consoles (if any at all), and seeing how the other communities are like.

If you are in it for the games another option could be the next PlayStation. Sony has much less of a focus on other services, at least compared to Microsoft. But yes, so does Nintendo. But if you are an old-time gamer and prefer "games for adults," selection will probably not be as great.

IT sure will be fun, though! And if the good games are few, they will be pretty fun, as this is not a traditional console. Let's hope more developers jump on it!

    Welcome to Wii U Forums!

I primarily buy Nintendo and Sony products for that very reason. I haven't used my XBox in over 2 years. XD
