Not sure how many COD fans we have here, but I am really excited for Black Ops 2. I have been playing COD on Wii for the past couple of years, and really enjoy the Wii remote and chuk controls. Treyarch has done an exceptional job over the past couple years making a pretty complete COD experience on the Wii. I am excited for COD on Wii U, finally going to get the 60fps that will really make the Wii Remote and Chuk controls shine.
The new score streaks sound like a big improvement as well. Its about time that the player who chooses a killstreak that rewards the whole team, gets rewarded as well. It will be nice getting points for kills that my teammates get when my UAV is up in the sky. League play sounds great as well, its about time the game matches up players of similar abilities. I want to be competitive, and its no fun to be completely crushed in a match. It also gets old destroying other teams as well. I want more matches that come down to the final seconds for victory. I think league play will encourage people to actually play the objective in objective based matches. I think very high KDR's are going to be far tougher to get when you are playing against players on a similar skill level. Its about time players start caring about wins more than they do about their KDR.
I am also excited about the 10 point system for loadouts. I rarely use my secondary weapon, so it will be nice to create a loadout with an extra attachment or perk instead of the secondary weapon. I also like the idea that only attachments affect the weapon, and perks affect the player. I will be curious to see if the game allows you to choose equipment more than once. For instance, could i have a loadout that gives me 5 claymores? I would hope not, but you never know.
I am just glad Treyarch is trying to make some serious changes. They are doing their best to discourage camping, and to encourage playing the objective. I like the idea of playing in the not to distant future. Similar weapons to what we use now, but with some reasonable advances in technology. Looking forward to playing in less than a month.
