Not for my needs, their isn't enough games available or any exclusives I want to buy to justify buying one over the PS3 I already have. In my opinion the WiiU will struggle more once the PS4 and xboxOne are released.

I can see the opposite The Wii U will have more games than the PS4/Xbox One and will be less expensive so the Wii U will likely STOP struggling

I think there is, yes. We may complain about the lack of 3rd party support, but there are certainly enough quality 1st party titles AND digital-only releases (like Nano Assault Neo!) to make it a more than worthwhile - and time-consuming - purchase. The Wii U Virtual Console alone could make it a merited console. Think how few people clamor to play early PS1 titles vs. those who want NES and SNES ones ...

Considering I already own 15 retail Wii U titles, and there's at least 5 upcoming titles I'll be buying at launch, I'd say yes.

Of course, it does depend on your personal tastes and what other platforms you already own, as a lot of third-party releases are multi-platform titles.

For me the answer is an easy yes. With no other console I get 1) all the Wii titles, 2) all the Wii U exclusives, 3) all the multi-plats (which I prefer on the Gamepad anyway).

For someone with another console? I still think the Wii U exclusives are pretty strong, especially if you include those through December (assuming the Wii U is a holiday purchase).

Plus all the multi-plats coming this fall/winter.

Yes there is. WiiU IS a worthwhile system with great games and some good multiplat titles. That said, the following years will be even better. WiiU's struggles are gradually coming to a close.
I never buy Nintendo consoles just to play Nintendo games. I buy them to play both Nintendo AND third party games.

There are more than enough games on the Wii U, it just depends if they are to your taste or not.

Very true, I never thought of that before. PS3 has some great PS1 classics like Final Fantasy VII, the Crash Bandicoot series, Twisted Metal and what not but they don't have that inspiring nostalgic value to them as NES & SNES titles.

Back to the topic yes there are a good amount of games out there for the Wii U. One, not everyone will hop on-board for the X-Box One and PS4 due to the lack of backwards compatibility due to the great backlog of games for their predecessors. On top of that, both systems will still be supported for a while. When Wii U has backwards compatibility and new games coming out, including 3rd party ones that never would have saw the light of day on Wii like Injustice, Need for Speed and those kind of hardcore titles. This is my plan...
Get a PS4...eventually mainly for the exclusives. I love the gamepad so much and plan to get 3rd party titles for it as I want the Wii U to be my main hub. For example, I loved Arkham City on the Wii U and plan to get Arkham Origins on Wii U as well. I may even get Watch Dogs on Wii U.

For the faithful, I'd say there were pretty much enough to begin with (or close), for those on the fence, I think that the answer is finally a resounding yes as well.

As other have stated it depends on what you like. If you like Nintendo games then obviously the system is worth it.

I suggest you take a look at Death's list in his signature. If there are 4 or more exclusive titles you're interested there then buy it.

To answer your question yes. Your eyes need to be closed if you still think there aren't enough games on Wii U.

Lego City Undercover, Zombi U, MH3U, and Trine 2 Directors Cut as of now. Others are on the way soon. Mario Kart 8, Mario 3d World, DKC TF are all must buys for me. I'm sure there's others I missed.

Pikmin 3, The Wind Waker HD, Splinter Cell, Nintendo Land, ZombiU, Super Mario Bros U (as long as you've never played one before) The Wind Waker HD, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations.

That's proably missing some out and not including the games coming out for the Wii U very soon.

The exclusives that are out and the exclusives that are coming out this and next year (that we know of so far) -- more than warrant a buy. I don't see how they don't. Not to mention that Nintendo has a strategy that will limitlessly boost the console.

First: release safer titles like Mario and Donkey Kong.
    Second: wait for sales.
Third: BOOM! Release blockbusters like Bayonetta 2, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, X, and so on. Even a few new IPs.

For this year I would say "yes", but for next year I would say you're stupid if you still didn't at least consider buying one.

Next year, if you don't have one, you will be missing out on a LOT.

yeah seriously, Funk Barn released on any other platform is just a gimped version of the game. If a TRUE version was made on Ouya, it would prob cause the gaming market to crash because no one would want a Wii U, XB1 or PS4

In my opinion definitely. I had to put a freeze on making any future pre orders, till I catch up. It seems games are coming out faster than I can finish them. Shoot, I was about to beat Pikmin 3, then Spinter Cell came out and stole ,my focus away. Tried to get back into Pikmin, then Mass Effect was on sale and is currently stealing my game time. Now looking at my calender Arkham Origins, AC4,& Wind Waker are due out in the next couple of weeks. I smell backlog city a-comin'. So I say yeah, there's plenty to keep you occupied. Oh, lets not for get the Indies on the eShop. There's some nice affordable gems on that piece too!

I can see how some people were apprehensive at first with the game delays and not a lot of good titles or exclusives but the system now has some really good games with many more on the horizon. It is a reasonable price for what you get in terms of features and to me the gamepad offers a level of gameplay that is unmatched by any other platform.

At launch? Maybe, but probably not. ANY launch line up is filled with "safe" games and maybe 1 or 2 wild cards. If Pikmin 3 and Rayman had been on schedule I think the Wiiu would be viewed very differently. The main reason to get a Nintendo console is to play games you can't play on anything else. Usually that is just Mario and his spin offs, 1 Zelda game per console, etc. But now they are branching out and stuff like Monster Hunter, Lego City, Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, Scribblenauts, Pikmin 3... and some of those games would have be altered enough to port that they wouldn't be as good, or be unrecognizable. The gamepad is slowly proving why it's indespensible for this console. There is stuff you can really only do on the gamepad. The Wiiu is fully backwards compatible, has a pretty huge VC catalogue, indies are constantly putting interesting new stuff on the shop channel.. Factor in the price cut and a shiny new bundle, and consider we are going to see a new Kart game. And a new Donkey Kong. And a new Smash. And whatever cool thing X turns out to be. And stuff like the new Batman game, AC4, Watchdogs, Lego Marvel, etc are coming to the Wiiu as well. If you have the money, this is a very solid choice.
Really, for me, the question is why would I want a PS4 or XBONE? I'm being very serious. There is exactly no reason to compels me to put down money for either console. Crimson Dragon looks kinda cool and the X1 has a very well designed controller, but I'm not buying a console for that.

Right now is a GREAT time to buy a Wii U. At launch not so much but that's the past and this is about now. Not to mention we get smash bros and mario kart in a few months?

This is the time to buy

I think I feel like this is a two sided question myself.

    1. Are there ENOUGH games to make Wii U worth buying? Of course there is! There are a ton of games out there.

    2. Are there enough games YOU WANT TO PLAY to make Wii U worth buying. This is subjective of course to the person, but I feel numbers speak for themselves here. I don't think that the main 'big time' 3rd party games are there yet. I am speaking of EA's sports games, new Capcom, Konami games, and Rockstar.

Though this is all subject to change but these 3rd party hard hitters are what I feel are really needed to make the numbers go up. Not that half of it is Nintendo's fault (EA.. Well that we know about anyway).

If these four dev's were full steam on Wii U like they are PS4 and Xone, then we would see the Wii U selling close if not surpassing the Wii's original sales, but that's just my unbiased opinion... Though I am sure I will get some replys stating that people who want to play anything besides mario should buy another console, but I don't buy a cd player just to play one band's music.. People who think like this are way behind the times.

So true! I bemoaned the drought at the start but now I have more games than time... Two are still in the wrappers! Worse still is the upcoming titles I'm going to buy to add to the backlog... The only solution is quitting work...

In conclusion buy a Wii U and enjoy.

where what kind of games you play, and what kind of music you listen to defines how cool you are.

I wouldn't have bought mine if I didn't feel there were enough games avaiable/in the pipeline to justify it.

    Wind Waker HD
    Wonderful 101
    Rayman Legends
    Mario Kart 8
    Super Smash Bros.
    Sonic Lost World
    Super Mario 3D World
    Watch Dogs
    Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
    Pikmin 3
    X
    Bayonetta 2
    Zelda Wii U

Seems like plenty of justification to me.
