That the WiiU isn't available for purchase yet! I know this area is probably for serious assistance once the product comes out, but by then I'll be recovering WiiU withdrawl (or no drawl) and on my way to WiiU Addiction Anonymous!

You're right... this forum SHOULD be for actual support questions, but since I feel about the same as you right now we'll just keep this open incase anyone can help us cure our WiiU jitters.

Well, when I did have Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I usually main Sonic.
Partially because I was always a Sonic fan, and another reason was because his move-sets were easier to use than others, personally.

can you say Pitfall?? anyway my trouble is that the Wii U has not come out yet and since Nintendo 64 I haven't found a Mario Kart that is nearly as awesome so I would like Nintendo to make another awesome Mario Kart, thank you.

Nintendo confirmed that, no, you cannot use the mic in the gamepad for voice chat. At least not in games themselves, will work for video chatting. It sounds like it's going to be this way with most titles, so best to get a headset.

Nintendo has revealed that the upcoming Wii U console doesn’t have a universal, system-wide voice chat feature. Instead, developers will be tasked to provide voice chat for their games. Furthermore, Nintendo revealed that the built-in microphone in the GamePad controller will not be used for voice chat. Instead, players will have to purchase a third party headset in order to use voice communication.

no. I'm not talking about the one that's built in the gamepad. I'm talking about the one that looks like a microphone and you buy separately. sorry about the confusion ~_~

Ah, like the Sing microphone? We really don't know. I'm inclined to say "no", but if we have USB headset support then maybe. Will just have to wait and see.

Thank goodness. Ps2.... at 5? I was started to get creeped out . We had a Sears Pong system, then an NES.

The microphone is a peripheral that should work off the base operating system of the unit. I would say that there should be no reason that the mic can't be used; however, each game will have to be developed to access that hardware.
