Gamepad sound stutter and image lag?

Anyone experiance a sound stutter and image lag with there gamepads?

I only noticed this last night (was working perfectly the night before) in Nintendoland the gamepad screen would lag quite badly behind the TV's image and had really bad horizontal tearing also the sound would cut in and out, sound was also cutting in and out when i was editing my Mii.

I was downloading a Nintendoland update in the background so not sure if that could cause an issue, I seem to have bad wifi stability where my Wii is located (took 10 hours thereabout to download the first update, i'm waiting for a wired adapter to get rid of my poor wifi, though the PS3 wifi works fine and the two console sit next to each other).

Also haven't had the chance to check but my Wii is positioned inside an entertainment unit with glass doors that have a alluminum frames around each door, this was closed last night and i remember that i had it open the night before so i wonder if that could cause a connection issue between the Wii and gamepad (i'll check this tonight).

Should note that i'm only sitting about 2 metres away from the TV.

Yeah i thought that but the sound was stuttering also when i was editing my Mii and i was not downloading anything then, i really think it has to do with my entertainment unit, i'll try again tonight with the door open and report back.

I have the exact opposite problem. My TV has audio and visual lag about a quarter second behind the gamepad.

ya your entertainment center sounds like the culprit. just make sure there are no obstructions between the gamepad and console, and also make sure there is nothing above and around your console, particularly if it's made of metal. goes for you too, rainmaker.

Well tried it last night with the entertainment unit door open and while it was improved i still had lag and sound issues with the gamepad, that F-Zero style racing game in Nintendoland was unplayable, it kept on comming up with the lost connection to Wii screen and asked to be placed on a flat surface to recaliberate, did that about 4 times in a row?

Next i'm going to actually move my Wii U to a diffenent sopt and see how that goes, failing that it has to be an issue with the actual console and i'll have to send it for repair or something.

Try having your hand move at the top (opposite of where the plugs go into) and be sure you don't cover the black part on the top next to the outlets for the headphones... happened to me untill I did the above

Have now moved the Wii U to sit on top of the entertainment unit and has worked perfectly for the last hour so now, so hoping i've fixed my issue.

Way to hang with it and not give up. Sometimes what seems like a big issue is fixed by such a minor detail. Glad you got it taken care of.
